BEAUJOLAIS DAY

  • Hunters Hill Club 12 Madeline Street Hunters Hill, NSW, 2110 Australia (map)

In the 1800’s Beaujolais wine growers in France would gather in their villages at celebrate the end of the harvesting season by enjoying selected barrels of the newest vintage of Beaujolais that had been pressed and produced that year…

In later years the tradition then tuned into a “thing” between the French and British where the French would sell them the “not so good”  barrels to the British as a sign of “tongue in cheek friendliness and respect”

We just like the idea of celebrating with some nice French Beaujolais either way, so stop by during our BEAUJOLAIS CELEBRATION DAYS between the 19th to the 22nd  November and enjoy a glass or a bottle of “THORN” La Perdrisette Beaujolais-Villages
